UES 400-WW 14.9oz Post World War II Jeans – Classic Straight
The UES 400-WW embodies founder Chuji Matsumoto's philosophy of creating garments with purpose — timeless designs fused with uncompromising Japanese craftsmanship. Inspired by the utilitarian jeans of the post-war era, this model features a classic straight cut with a medium rise, all-yellow stitching, and deadstock satin green pocket bags, staying true to the original vintage details.
Crafted from 14.9oz red selvedge denim, woven on restored wooden shuttle looms in Japan, the fabric is made from premium long-staple Zimbabwe cotton. The result is a rich, brown-tinted deep indigo with subtle slub texture — a denim full of vintage character that develops incredible fades over time.
Built to last, these jeans are reinforced with copper rivets, a button fly, and finished with a goatskin leather patch. Pre-washed for convenience, they require no further shrinkage and are ready to wear.
